My name is Kelsey Chomistek and I am twenty-three years old. I was diagnosed with polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) when I was fourteen in 25 joints. I am currently completing my Master’s of Science in Medical Science at the University of Calgary/Alberta Children’s Hospital with the aim to become a pediatric rheumatologist in the future. I am an active volunteer with the Arthritis Society and Cassie + Friends, co-founder of the Teen Arthritis Group (T.A.G), public speaker, JIA blogger (themighty.com), and mentor for JIA patients and families.
